Organization That Looks as Good as It Works.

Filing cabinets, cabinets, bookcases, and credenzas that bring order without breaking the aesthetic. Modular storage that integrates with your desks and workstations.

Real office storage environment

Office filing cabinets are drawer units that keep documents, supplies, and equipment organized and secure. Most include a lock to protect sensitive information by workstation or by department, and they come in different sizes depending on the volume of documents to store. Línea Italia builds them modularly so they integrate with the rest of the furniture.

FAQs

What You Should Know About Office Filing Cabinets.

We answer the most common questions about filing cabinets: drawers, paper formats and placement.

How many drawers should a filing cabinet have? +

It depends on the volume of documents and where it will go. A 2-drawer cabinet is low, fits next to the desk and its top works as a support surface; 3- and 4-drawer cabinets hold more folders on the same floor space and are best placed by department.

Vertical or lateral filing cabinet? +

A vertical cabinet is narrow and deep: folders are filed front to back and it takes up little wall width, so it works next to a workstation or in hallways. A lateral cabinet is wider and shallower: folders are filed side to side, are easier to browse, and its top doubles as a support surface, ideal under windows or along long walls.

What is a mobile pedestal and when does it make sense? +

It is a small filing unit on casters that sits under the desk. It combines drawers for personal items with a filing drawer and can be moved when cleaning or rearranging the workstation. It makes sense at workstations where each person needs to keep their own documents.

Do filing cabinets fit letter and legal-size folders? +

That is the first thing to define: legal size is longer than letter size and needs a roomier drawer, and if you use hanging folders the drawer must be able to hold them. Since we build to measure, tell us which format you use and we will adjust the drawer.

Where should filing cabinets go in the office? +

Keep daily-use documents within reach of each workstation, in low cabinets or pedestals next to the desk; shared reference files grouped by department in a spot the whole team can reach; and confidential documents in an area with controlled access. Leave enough clear space in front of the cabinet to open the drawers fully and walk by.

Which filing cabinet lines do you offer? +

In this section you will find filing cabinets from the Anzio line, with contemporary lines that pair with your workstations, and from the Italia line, with 2 to 4 lockable drawers to store documents by workstation.
